We know the demand. The harder question is capacity.

660,000 new commercial pilots needed by 2044.

That's Boeing's latest forecast, announced this week at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh — the world's largest air show and a major gathering for the aviation industry.

While much of the aviation world is up in Oshkosh soaking in the action, we're over here on the other side of the planet (yes, a little jealous) thinking about the other side of that announcement.

We know how many pilots the world needs. But we still don't know whether the global training system can actually produce them — or how close we are to doing so. Because we can't meet demand if we don't understand our capacity.

Training pipelines are complex. A pilot moves through multiple phases and needs the right resources at the exact right time to stay on track. Multiply that across tens of thousands of students, and the coordination challenge becomes enormous. It takes visibility. It takes planning. And it takes joined-up coordination across phases, borders, and providers — linking global resources with the pilots moving through the system.

That's where Aeroplanned comes in. We're working with top training providers to bring structure and visibility to the pipeline, so everyone can clearly see what's coming through, what's needed, and when. It's about enabling confident, coordinated decisions to keep training on track and pilots progressing.
