Smarter Capacity Planning, Not 'Set and Hope'

Smarter capacity planning with Aeroplanned

Utilization starts long before the day-to-day schedule.

Do you know how many hours your aircraft should be flying each year? Not just what you hope they'll fly — what they can actually achieve.

Utilization is such an important conversation in flight training, but we believe it needs to start much earlier than filling the schedule day to day. That's the final piece of the puzzle. The first piece is understanding your true capacity.

Every flight school operates differently. Weather, serviceability, operating days, turnaround times, booking structures, aircraft use, instructor availability — all of these decisions and conditions shape what is realistically possible. So a target of 1,000 hours per aircraft per year might be too high in one location and far too low in another.

This way of thinking already sits at the core of Aeroplanned. It's what drives the accuracy behind how we determine the resources required to deliver training on time.

Now, we're building a new capability that brings this to life for our customers: a capacity planning feature that allows flight schools to see their true potential, understand what's driving it, and adjust their operation to see how it impacts what they can achieve. It gives teams the ability to test scenarios, see the impact of operational decisions, and understand what's truly possible.

This is knowledge we've built over decades of planning pilot training across different locations around the world, now being put directly into the hands of training organizations. Because when you understand what's possible, you can set better targets, make better decisions, and get more from your operation.

This feature is currently being tested by some of our brilliant customers, and we're excited to share more soon.

No more "set and hope". It's time for smarter capacity planning.
